Easy to use


Hashstack's intuitive web-based interface makes it simple to construct complex attacks and deploy jobs, without needing to be an expert password cracker or learning complicated command lines.


Modular


Unlike other distributed password cracking solutions, Hashstack is not tied to any one particular password cracking application. Its modular, plugin-based architecture enables you to seamlessly and transparently integrate virtually any Linux console application. Out of the box, Hashstack provides plugins for hashcat, oclHashcat, and John the Ripper. Creating additional plugins and adding new algorithms is as simple as creating a configuration file, thanks to Hashstack's incredibly powerful and flexible framework.


Flexible


Hashstack is able to meet a wide variety of use cases and demands. It clusters both the CPU and GPU resources in your compute nodes, providing maximum algorithm support and enabling you to get the most value out of your hardware. Its three-dimensional queueing system supports an arbitrary number of parallel work queues, enabling multiple jobs from multiple users to run on the cluster simulatenously. Its Idle Task functionality allows you to automatically run other programs during idle cycles, such as cryptocurrency mining. And its full-featured REST API empowers you to use Hashstack in ways we could never imagine.


Fault-tolerant


Hashstack is highly tolerant of failures, so losing a compute node in the middle of a job does not mean the job will fail. Hashstack will simply route around the issue until it can be resolved. This functionality also enables you to add resources to the cluster on the fly as well. Simply start the Hashstack agent on a new compute node, and it will immediately begin working on the active jobs in the queue.
